RoseShield

LUXAR ROSE SHIELD (FL-41) is our stunning rose-colored tint that helps reduce eye strain, migraines and the disruption of your circadian rhythm (your sleep cycle). Protect your eyes from harmful wavelengths of blue light emitted from office fluorescent lights and digital screens.

Compared to other FL-41 tints on the market, Rose Shield has a lower transmittance, therefore blocking more dangerous blue light (400nm to 450nm)!

BLUE LIGHT EXPLAINED

Blue light does not literally mean “blue colored light”. Check out the diagram below to help you understand the full spectrum of visible light and where the harmful blue light exists.ย

400 – 450 nm are the most harmful wavelengths that affects the health of the eyes. Rose Shield FL-41 reduces the amount of dangerous blue light that passes through your glasses to effectively protect your eyes.

DANGERS OF BLUE LIGHT TODAY

Did you know that adults spend up to an average of 9 hours a day in front of electronic devices? Also, 8 out of 10 children spend time in front of digital screens daily. Eye fatigue, strain, dryness and headaches are all symptoms associated with exposure to the blue light emitted from electronic devices.

Blue light from electronic devices can actually keep you up at night. Minimize sleep disruption by filtering blue light so it does not disrupt our circadian rhythm (also known as the sleep/wake cycle)

Reduce eye strain from staring at electronic screens. Because short-wavelength, high energy blue light scatters more easily than other visible light, it is not as easily focused. This unfocused visual "noise" reduces contrast and can contribute to digital eye strain.

Decrease risk of macular degeneration with an effective blue light blocker. Too much exposure to blue light can damage light-sensitive cells in the retina. This can cause macular degeneration, which can lead to permanent vision loss.

Cataracts sufferers that underwent cataract surgery are more vulnerable to blue light. Find out whether your intraocular lens (IOL) has sufficient UV protection.
