Blue Barrier (light)

PROTECT YOUR EYES FROM HARMFUL BLUE LIGHT

Our Blue Barrier lenses were created with effective blue light filtering properties in the material. Blue Barrier HEV Blocking material is mixed into the plastic of the lens during manufacturing. Blue Barrier is also perfect for children as it provides protection even without a delicate coating.

Also available in combination with our LuxAR Clear Blue anti-reflective coating for the most effective blue light protection available!

BENEFITS

Minimize sleep disruption by filtering blue light so it does not disrupt the circadian rhythm (also known as the sleep/wake cycle)

Reduce eye strain from staring at eletronic screens.

Decrease risk of macular degeneration which can lead to permanent vision loss.

Protects cataracts sufferers that underwent cataract surgery who are more vulnerable to blue light.

Our UV420 blue light filter lenses can reduce the high energy blue light and block the UV rays, while the visible light and useful-for-the-body blue light still goes through. Our Blue Barrier lenses do not only filter a part of this high energy blue light, but block the UV rays too! You can use them by every weather, sunny and cloudy, to permanently protect your eyes.

What is a blue light blocker?

A blue light blocker protects the eyes from harmful blue light emitted by digital devices. It blocks and or reflects the light and can be put on both prescription and non-prescription glasses.

Also known as ‘computer glasses‘, the coating increases contrast, making it easier for the eyes to focus on a digital screen. Glasses with a blue light blocker can be used indoors or outdoors anytime of the day or night.

Blue light blockers are suitable for both adults and children, whether you wear prescription glasses or not. It is particularly suitable for anyone who uses digital devices a lot such as students, office professionals, writers and gamers. Additionally, if you work night shifts, wearing a blue light blocking glasses will help prevent the disruption of your circadian rhythm. More than 80% of Americans report using devices before going to sleep disrupts sleep patterns.
